Because Main Line Media News covers 19 high schools, the Main Line Media News sports staff limits the number of athletes on first team, second team and honorable mention – but follows the priority of the coaches’ selections. The All-Main Line high school girls soccer teams are selected by the coaches. Other strong local teams included Lower Merion (17-4-2, advanced to the state quarterfinals for the first time ever), Agnes Irwin (11-4-1 overall, 8-3-1 Inter-Ac, second place), Archbishop Carroll (14-6-1), Radnor (10-5-3), Shipley (8-7-3, Friends Schools League semifinalist), Harriton (10-7) and Villa Maria Academy (11-6-2). Main Line high school girls’ soccer was as strong as ever this past fall, with Conestoga (21-4) winning the Central League championship and advancing to the PIAA 4A state championship final and Episcopal Academy (19-2-1) capturing both the Inter-Ac championship and the PAISAA state title.
